Modern Botanicals | Perfect Wedding Magazine | Styled Shoot

PUBLISHED:  What feels like many, many moons ago at the beginning of 2016, the gang and I got together on a styled shoot collaboration at Dodmoor House. A curated selection has just been published in September's issue of Perfect Wedding Magazine (yay!) which also means I can blog some of the images from the day...

INSPIRATION:  Clemmie was the head stylist for this one and we managed to squeeze lots of fabulous wedding trends in. Incorporating rose quartz (one of Pantone's colours of the year), warm metallic accents, pretty succulents, eucalyptus galore and beautiful florals in muted tones, this has to be one of my favourite looks ever.

BRIDAL INSPIRATION: Daisy from Fairytale Weddings selected some beautiful dresses from Ian Stuart and Ellis Bridal. Texture was of great importance so beads and appliqué flowers were the order of the day.

HAIR & MAKE-UP: The fantastic Joanne Tromans and Lynddy were respectively in charge for Make-Up and Hair on the day. The bold looks created were edgy and modern, veering away from traditional bridal trends. Jo created a Black Swan inspired look on beautiful Bernadette with strong eyes and muted lips. Lynddy was strongly influenced by 2016/17 catwalk looks - a perfect contrast against the girly dresses and florals.

Thanks to everyone involved (including little Bebe Daisy!) - as always a fantastic day was had with these girls. Grab a copy of September's Perfect Wedding magazine for a better look and for lots more wedding inspiration. Dream Team - Assemble...

Ali & Ian | Pre Wedding | Jardin Majorelle | Marrakesh

Ali & Ian are one of life's most totally chilled out couples, naturally happy in each other's company. After falling in love with Marrakesh after several happy stays, they decided it would be the perfect destination for their wedding day. When they asked me to photograph it, of course, I jumped at the chance.

Ali & Ian opted for an intimate yet opulent affair for their wedding day and I can't wait to share some of those images with you soon... For now, I'm going to take you to the awe inspiring Jardin Majorelle in the heart of Marrakesh, the once home of Yves Saint Laurent. It's really not hard to understand why Saint Laurent was so inspired by Morocco itself and particuarly within the four walls of this amazing location. Now an archeological museum, it's unique cobalt blue walls and sea of giant cacti are truly captivating.

When not running their successful jewellery design business, Bijoux Jewels, Ali & Ian are a couple with a taste for the finer things in life. What better place then to shoot their pre-wedding photos than the Majorelle Gardens? Ali looked naturally radiant in a beautiful silk kaftan by Temperley, perfect for the hot climate (the thermometer went over the 50 degree mark whilst we were there!).

If you haven't experienced Marrakesh I whole heartedly recommend it. From shopping in the colourful souks to experiencing the flavoursome cuisine, you will leave feeling inspired and refreshed.

Thanks to Ian and Ali for letting me share this beautiful experience with them and look out for some images of their amazing Moroccan wedding soon...

Alysha & Liam | Barton Hall | Northamptonshire

Last month I had the absolute pleasure of photographing the beautiful wedding of Alysha and Liam at the gorgeous Barton Hall in the Northamptonshire countryside.

When your mum is one of the county's finest florists - The Flower Stylist, one thing is for sure - your wedding flowers are going to all kinds of amazing. Alysha had probably the biggest and most jaw dropping bridal bouquet I've seen featuring some stunning Coral Charm peonies, hydrangea, ranunculus, David Austin roses and pretty anemones. To compliment Alysha's bouquet, there were perfectly bloomed peonies displayed in cloches, flower garlands galore, fresh lavender bursting from the drawers of the sweet table and the initials of the couple made in tiny roses (made by the bride herself, no less!). If flowers are your thing, this wedding is definitely for you!

We were blessed with fabulous, sunny weather on the day, perfect for a beautiful English summer wedding. The orangery at Barton Hall glistened in the sunshine and Alysha looked stunning in her Mark Lesley gown, walking down the aisle with her father. The bridesmaids looked super stylish in Chi-Chi London and there were (fake but fab!) flamingos galore around the grounds on the day...

The styling of Barton Hall on the day was truly unprecedented and what makes it all the more amazing is Alysha, her mum Ann and her bridesmaids did it ALL themselves the night before! From the flowers, to the huge balloons, the beautiful centre pieces and the amazing little hand made 'drink me' favours. No detail was overlooked.

So many brilliant suppliers were involved in making this day one to remember, including an prize worthy cake by Lillibet Bakes with hand made, sugar crafted peonies to compliment the flowers of the day, make-up by the perfectionist that is Jo Tromans, stationery by White Cottage Weddings,  rings by the uber talented Bijoux JewelsHair by Lynddy and videography by the awesome Halford Films. All of Northamptonshire's finest, I'm sure you'll agree!

The VIP of the day was the fabulous Jimmy, the couple's beautiful French Bulldog who stole the limelight with his beautiful floral collar and was the sweetest page boy you ever did see...

Want to see more of Alysha & Liam's day? Our friend Halford Films was there - here's a little preview of the magic Ben captured on the day...

Mr. & Mrs. Molyneaux, thank you so much for letting me be a part of your big day, wishing you all the best for the future!

Spring Bloom | Tara Florence & Joanne Tromans

With May just a few days away and a third of the year already passed, what better time for me to update the blog...

With the 2016 wedding season just around the corner, I'm fitting in some creative editorials before everything steps up a gear. Last week I got together with the uber talented MUA Joanne Tromans to create and capture some on trend looks on the gorgeous Sophie Gibson.

Jo is always keen to keep her finger on current trends and during this shoot she brought to life a couple of looks that were popular on the S/S '16 catwalks. One of the looks that was seen a lot was the sun-kissed complexion teamed with a fierce blue eye. Only for the brave? Well, Jo successfully scaled the look back to achieve a striking but wearable look, perfect for that week in Santorini...

Jo paired Urban Decay liner in Electric Blue with the UD eyeshadow in Shattered. Teamed with a high gloss peachy pink lip, this look has us willing on the sunshine so we can get experimenting with some bright shades.

This shoot will be featured in the June issue of Image magazine so grab a copy and get ready for a floral overload. We have incorporated beautiful cherry blossom, magnolia and some gorgeous ferns.

We were lucky enough to find some fantastic a huge bush which had bloomed with the most beautiful white flowers (florists - please comment below if you know what they are!). Although we were shooting in the Northamptonshire countryside, Sophie is emulating some serious Californian Cool with laid back hair and make up - take us to Coachella!

To see more of Jo's work pop over to her website here and don't forget to grab June's Image magazine for much more from this shoot. It's guaranteed to be a floral frenzy...

Published | Love My Dress | 2016

What a fabulous start to 2016 - our dark and glamorous winter shoot has been published not only in print but on the grandest wedding blog of them all, Love My Dress . Our friends at Image magazine dedicated a mighty 6 pages to two contrasting styled shoots and the editorial was also picked up by a newspaper.

It's always a great feeling to see your hard work and vision in print and we have so much more to come this year. With weddings in Ireland, the mountains of Morocco and Italy, I have a feeling 2016 is going to take some beating.

Whilst we're out of wedding season, myself and some of my friends in the industry are making good use of our time and have some fabulous stuff lined up that I cannot wait to share with you! Follow me on Facebook or Instagram to keep up to date with everything at TF HQ...
